Did you know that 90% of Berlin was bombed in WWII and as a result the only way to tell whether a structure is an original is to search for bullet holes? Did you know that the Berlin Wall was constructed overnight in top secret? Did you know that the Berlin Wall came down by accident? Ok, so some of you smartypants out there might just know a thing or two about this fascinating city but I for one didnt pay much attention in modern history class so this all came as a bit of a revelation to me. The 4 hour guided tour with the New Berlin Tours was the highlight of our weekend trip - we had a fantastic guide called Nick who had only been in the country for 6 months but it was one of the best guided tours I have ever been on. Unfortunately with only two days there we barely touched the surface of this remarkable city so if anyone is planning to pay a visit let us know - we might just join you for another trip there!
